Year AHead 2014 Forecast
by Terry Nazon
2014 starts off on a serious note with the New Moon in Capricorn and while many could interpret the New Moon in Capricorn as driven by success, ambition, persistence, and the rules; we have to remember that the glyph of the sign of Capricorn is a mystic Sea Goat that represents deep emotions brought to Earth; it represents great leadership, and doing the right thing. So as 2014 gets underway our intentions are set, and our activities during the year should follow suit. The ruler of the New Moon is the planet Saturn, now transiting the 2nd half of the sign of Scorpio the 2nd and 3rd decanates ruled by Pisces, and Cancer so perhaps a kinder year emerges, a more intuitive and compassionate time.
The planet Saturn in Scorpio starts off in new degrees in 2014 which of course will be repeated through October 2014. The way I see it, is that Saturn transiting in the 2nd half of Scorpio (15°-30°) doesn’t bring new issues to our lives, but a continuation of the issues (money, finances, stubbornness, and selfishness, death, tragedy, and transforming our lives) but at a different level. Saturn rules maturity and we’ve learned lots during 2013; now it’s time to apply what we’ve learned to our experiences in 2014. All the issues and surprises that we experienced in 2013 we most likely will experience again, but with a twist, we’ve learned a thing or two. On December 23rd, Saturn enters the sign of Sagittarius.
The planet Jupiter in its exaltation, the sign of Cancer provides for relative peace and harmony through mid-July when Jupiter enters Leo ruler of kings, and royalty.
The planet Mars will transit through the sign of Mars is in its detriment, where it retrogrades and transits also through July 2014. The sign of Libra is a cardinal air sign so opportunities come quickly and then disappear.
The Uranus-Pluto squares occur again on April 21, 2014 and on Dec. 15, 2014. The struggle between the new order and the old guard continues but with a twist. In April half way between the Uranus –Pluto squares, a Grand Cardinal square with retrograde Mars in Libra and Jupiter in Cancer makes the turning point for major changes. While the theme continues, the theme of revolutionary change, resistance to change, and blockages; the changes relay begins to shift in April. . They also provide intensity of focus and the ability to zero in on the changes that we want and need to make in our lives. One things for sure you can sit still if these aspect your chart!
Neptune in Pisces continues to shower the planet with inspiration and compassion even amidst all the fundamental changes.
The quick pace in 2014 requires you be ready for anything and prepared for surprise opportunities. You need to be able to make quick decisions on your feet to take advantage of everything 2014 has to offer…put your thinking cap on let’s go!
