Aquarius: (Jan 21-Feb. 19): This month as your astrology horoscope month begins Aquarius, May 1^st falls right in between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. The 2^nd and 3^rd eclipses in an eclipse cycle that began with the Full Moon eclipse April 25^th occurs, and the 3^rd of the great Uranus-Pluto squares at 11° define May as an undeniable time of change.  Aquarius and Aquarius rising has unique and challenging month ahead.  Not because anything bad will happen,  in fact it’s still the same old career, business and you are more ambitious and set on furthering your career, and aspirations than ever.

Some say Eclipses are fated events that occur in the world, or in our lives.  Or are eclipses those monstrous emotions inside of us that force us to make change, take an action, and could they be  reactions to someone else who has . Makes sense that when the Moon and the Sun come together emotions or feelings meet with the ego or that life force within us and we are the stewards of change in our own lives or the lives of others.  The two eclipses this month bring changes to your life that put you a little closer to living your dream and help you shed excessive emotional baggage that’s been holding you down.

In May we become more aware of contrasts, and contradictions, as the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Pallas and the Lunar South Node oppose Saturn _RX then the Lunar North Node in Scorpio.  In ancient astrology the dragon’s head and the dragons tail (the Lunar North Node and the Lunar South Node) were considered the abode of disincarnate spirits.  Today the Lunar Nodes rule past and future incarnations.  The North Node leads us into the future and the South Node pulls us back into the past.  This Taurus-Scorpio axis also deals with morality vs. immorality, puppy love vs. sexual excesses, gentleness vs. cruelty and the beauty of spring vs. the cold dampness of impending winter.  Taurus is calm, sweet, and laid back, until pushed too far; Scorpio intense and on the defensive no matter what. The sign of Scorpio rules intensity, purpose, determination, facing challenges head on, the underworld, manipulative schemes, the dark side of things, ugliness, and we are very sensitive to this dangerous undertaking of facing challenges and to this polarity in our lives. It’s easy now to want to fall back to the sweet, easy going days of yesteryear but, Saturn _RX and the Lunar North Node try to pull us forward and we can find every excuse not to go forward.  It’s the back drop to the New Moon Eclipse in Taurus and for now until the next New Moon eclipse in Scorpio in November, the easy life wins. This fixed axis of Taurus-Scorpio falls in Aquarius solar 4^th and 10^th house and just like Leo; you are wrought with conflicts between home, property matters, family, authority figures and people not following the “rules”. 

The New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse at 19°33’ Taurus on May 9^th starts a new cycle of activity perhaps of financial in nature.  The sign of Taurus rules creature comforts, money, personal wealth, belongings and possessions.  More importantly Taurus is productive in making money, figuring out how to get it, or how to achieve a desire. Taurus doesn’t like to be pushed and the wrong approach could cause people to dig in their heels and become unmovable.  You could be ultra-sensitive to being approached to wrong way and just decide to be stubborn early this month, but with Saturn staring you down, you’ll question yourself and wonder if you did the right thing.  Saturn loves to bring on the guilt trip. The New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in Taurus your solar 4^th house of beginnings and endings suggests there’s a lifting of something that’s been holding you back.  Since the 4^th house is all about where you live, your comfort level and spending on your expenses you could finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.  Perhaps you’ll move, have more to spend in living better, buy new furniture or whittle unnecessary expenses from your household expenses.  Young Aquarius could leave the nest and older Aquarius may have more room.  Single Aquarius may not see how a full time relationship fits into their lives right now especially if they’ve not reached their destination career or businesswise.

Looking back earlier this year the Lunar South Node was at 19°33’ Taurus on Feb. 26^th -27^th, 2013 and Mars will be at 19°33’ Taurus May 17^th.  The South Node rules the incarnation or path we’re coming out of (life of leisure, comfort, loyalty, easy life, free spending, pleasure principle… etc.)  Mars in Taurus is determined to find new means or modes to get more creature comforts, money, personal wealth, belongings and possessions. Mars may demand loyalty even when it doesn’t deserve it.  Mercury gives new ideas or points us in the right direction. The Lunar North Node in Scorpio is pointing to where we need experience and in Scorpio, hardcore anything, self-preservation, it deals with will power, sharing, credit, banking and managing joint finances.  None of this means that you should spend more time at home, not with Jupiter in your 5^th house, it’s important that Aquarius gets out and socializes more.

There’s nothing that brings out your resourcefulness than having your back against the wall.  The fixed signs Taurus and Scorpio can do just that.  Both signs are unyielding and seemingly immovable and uncompromising.  As the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pallas aspect Saturn _RX in Scorpio and you have to be just as unwavering in your longing to overcome personal trials, delays and tests.

Just as the Sun enters Gemini on May 20^th the energy and tone changes and you have to feel much better when the Sun enters your 5^th house.  Your ego gets a boost and you feel like you’re the center of attention.  You don’t need any more reason than that to get out party and be seen.

The 3^rd Uranus in Aries square Pluto _RX in Capricorn occurs on May 20^th, and this time around Uranus is direct and Pluto is retrograde.  In your solar 3^rd house of thinking and communicating and your solar 12^th house of oops (self-undoing), you have to have a “filter” on what you say.  Even what you think you hear other’s saying can be off or make you angry or feel left out. Be careful driving and curb your appetite for long road trips.

The planet Mercury (ruler of the sign of Gemini) is the lower octave of lightning fast Uranus and is moving very quickly this month, through two signs, Taurus and Gemini. So we can expect things to move quite fast after May 20^th.  Certain areas of your life start to move very quickly and for Aquarius your mind is going so fast that you could stop a mistake a mile away. This could make you the go to person at work or the idiot savant on the job.  Have patience with those mere mortals who can’t think as fast as you!

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 3°57’ Sagittarius May 24^th in your solar 11^th house of friends, ex-lovers, live in lovers and mentors, suggest that for Aquarius  being stuck on someone from the past is fading and perhaps it’s time to move on.

Mercury enters Cancer where it will spend a considerable amount of time considering Mercury will retrograde in Cancer where Jupiter will enter at the end of June.

As Mars enters Gemini your solar 5^th house watch an overly outgoing (abrasive) attitude and work off  all your excess energy.

Saturn _RX is retrograde in Scorpio, and there’s no way that Saturn doesn’t generate problems in personal relationships here. Scorpio represents power, joint finances, as the 2^nd house to the 7^th house of personal relationships and marriage it is your partner’s morals, possessions, comfort, support, what they own, what’s important to him or her, what they love, and sometimes who they love.  No matter where Saturn _RX in Scorpio is transiting in your Natal Birth Chart relationship issues are influencing it somehow.
