2016 is a year of change. With the waxing tumultuous Uranus-Pluto square fading by March the budding T-square between Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune culminates from May 26th-June 17th. Saturn will be retrograde and taking his 2nd pass through the very same degrees he transits in January and then again October squaring Neptune twice. Jupiter will square Saturn in 2016, with an interesting twist. Jupiter that planet of luck, abundance and expansion rules Sagittarius where Saturn is currently transiting. The sign of Sagittarius naturally occupies the 12th house to Capricorn where Pluto ruler of the sign of Scorpio is transiting. So we have the influences of Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pluto. The key is that Jupiter is in Virgo which is ruled by the air sign Mercury. This suggests that Mercury and his retrogrades, and aspects to planets throughout the year could be very potent in 2016 and you know Mercury likes to move fast.
It’s in our human natures to want to succeed and get ahead, and with the waxing Uranus-Pluto squares heading out to sea like a bad storm that never stopped obstacles, blockages and rebellions begin to fade. If you see your opportunities opening up, you could seize the moment. Will you be afraid, yes you’ll be afraid and won’t trust easily, people won’t trust you and you could be sloppy and gullible and the chances of someone taking advantage of you are great as well you could see a loophole or opportunity to take advantage of too; that’s Neptune.
It will be easy to spread ourselves too thin. Jupiter and the Lunar North Node (what we have to learn and experience) are showing us how to pay attention to details, to ferret out answers. No it’s not that screwdriver you need it’s a Philips head, go back to the store and get the right one. By August Jupiter would have done his job and we will all be a little better at changing tires, repairing leaky faucets and adding extra memory to our computers because finally we might have a little extra cash and leaving it in the bank sounds like a good idea. Frivolous spending? Maybe not. In 2016, we want what we want and we want it one sale.
Opportunities come quickly in 2016 and Saturn in Sagittarius wants to expand and do things on a bigger scale, more of the things we need to enhance career and our professional outlooks. Still, we have to soft through good ideas and good opportunities that seem too good to be true. Over the coming year those who succeed will have quick reactions, responses, act quickly and prudently, if that’s possible. Over the coming year we can get caught up in over analyzing, and trying to move forward, when one door closes certainly in 2016 another will open so be aware always of you options for they are numerous.
In love Mars has been transiting Libra ruler of relationships and matrimony the husband in a woman’s chart. Beginning in January mars enters sexy, sultry, but financially motivated Scorpio where he spends a long time. We get a brief glimmer of Mars in Sagittarius where his energy is fun and motivates Saturn even more. It’s not until Jupiter enters Libra in September that romance is really favored. Up until then it’s fun, non-committal and at times downright naughty.
Jupiter in Virgo along with the North Node in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces along with the South Node in Pisces brings, yes some guilty feelings. This year we want to help, give of ourselves, time and money. Balancing the desire to help with another’s need for us to help won’t always be easy. You could promise too much and then find you are wearing yourself down physically doing things for others or another and you have no time to shampoo your hair for work. You could give and give and give if you lean towards that South Node and Neptune too much and neglect your own life, family and home. The worst case scenario is you could be co-dependent and not be helping someone who has a drug or alcohol addiction (Neptune and the South Node in Pisces) or you could be hood winked into giving your last dime to a charity or get rich quick scheme. This axis of Virgo and Pisces is also highlight by a Solar Eclipse in March in Pisces, a Solar Eclipse in September in Vigo and another Soar Eclipse in September in Pisces which says “Ok let’s try this again”. These eclipses along with the Lunar Nodes in Virgo and Pisces are very karmic in nature and not always easy. They can also highlight health issues. But I wonder if some illnesses this year will be brought on by the inability to balance this important axis, at Virgo and Pisces. Dis-ease, is a discomfort of the soul.
