2022 Overview: A pandemic that doesn’t stop, earthquakes, monster tornadoes, scandals, and buildings falling to the ground! 2021 has been quite a year. Many of us expect the Corona Virus Pandemic to go away one day. Looking ahead into 2022, the Fall brings yets another Saturn _RX-Uranus _RX and Mars Retrograde, and most likely a 4th booster shot and more home Covid-19 test kits. So, astrologically speaking, will Covid-19 be around in 2022?  Yes, save your masks and get vaccinated according to your beliefs.  In 2022, things will take you by surprise and move very fast at times. That’s Jupiter in Aries along with Mars over the summer. It’s always the first two months of the year when Saturn isn’t in any retrograde period, and he won’t repeat his degrees that you can get the most done.  These two months seem favorable for career, professional, and business gains.  Once March comes, you want to be on your best behavior. I know you’re always on your best behavior!   But you want to be observant because this is where you are going to have some lessons that begin to appear.  You have to manage with patience through delays, pitfalls, and setbacks from June through December.

As 2022 gets underway, Venus _RX is retrograde, and the planet Mars will be retrograde as the year ends.  Venus rules the feminine, receptive, money, wealth, beauty, relationships, and marriage. Mars rules the masculine, energetic, dynamic, excitement, anger, war, activity, action, and initiative.  In 2022, the planet Venus _RX is connected to the planet Pluto who’s mission in astrology is to destroy, break things down and rebuild them.  Pluto also demands complete submission if you are to succeed. As much as you would like to walk away from a relationship, there may be circumstances that prevent it, or you decide to work it.  Careful evaluation of your responsibilities and your financial responsibilities to and from others will be reflected upon as 2022 gets underway.  It’s a period when you have to be more cautious with others. In general, it’s a temporary decline in your social life, with romance and business activity.  It might also be a good time to re-do or go over a career, professional, or business decision. Interest rates rise, and inflation threatens the world markets.  There may still be a few salacious scandals.

There are setbacks and forced delays when Mars _RX is retrograde (November-mid-January 2023). Mars forces you to go back, re-do, or handle some unfinished business. Let’s remember that in late August through October and do things right.  Things you start or get excited about in Late August may be delayed in late October or might have to be re-done.  What does that coincide with? The school schedule, of course. And since Mars _RX will be retrograde in Gemini, it also influences air travel and things that travel through the air. Like your Wi-Fi, jets, satellite communications, bullets, and germs.  Mars _RX in Gemini will also influence your short trips,  maybe because of oil prices or the pandemic.  Debates over education, communications, social media, and of course, the pandemic will still be with us in 2022.  We know in 2021, there was a shortage of semiconductors and cars.  It might feel like another Mercury retrograde, so caution should be taken with agreements, what you say and sign.   Maybe that will happen again from Late August through the end of the year once again.

As you can see, the year starts with Venus _RX retrograde and ends with Mars _RX retrograde. Things still are stop and go. Another indication that the pandemic will still be with us.

 The largest planet in our universe Jupiter re-enters Pisces for a quick tour before entering Aries for 8° degrees (or 5 ½ months) and retrograding in Aries, re-entering Pisces for only 2°. Jupiter opens up everyone to their dreams and spirituality. Jupiter is the ancient ruler of Pisces. That brings an uncanny twist of fate, good fortune, introspection, and gain through intuition. This aspect also brings out issues about mental health and what we do for those suffering mentally.  Spending time resting, healing, and taking the occasional time out will be helpful once again in 2022. In March, Jupiter makes rare conjunction with Neptune. Jupiter transits around the zodiac, meeting up with Neptune about every 12-13 years.  It can be a period of universal love, devotion, learning, and translating what you believe into action.  In reality, it’s a turning point from being negative or having a negative outlook to feeling divine love and gratitude.  Funny, that’s also what Venus _RX is retrograde tries to do too. Inner love, inner peace, and goodness. There may be more compassion in the world. Find ways to express yourself. Sing, dance, create art, write, pray, or repeat an uplifting mantra.

You’ll be gal you found yourself as Jupiter transited Pisces because you won’t have any time for reflection when Jupiter enters the fire sign, Aries! “Let’s go!” Excitement is the name of the game. You may be more impulsive, confident, and move fast.  Because Jupiter is essentially a good planet, you’ll be compelled to do the right thing. It’s a new 12-year cycle of fresh starts.   

Saturn will continue in the sign of Aquarius, the sign it used to rule in ancient times.  Saturn rules hard work and everything has to be earned under his watchful eye. Whatever doesn’t survive, his tests must go away. But whatever does survive under his weight gets better and stands the test of time.  Saturn is the pressure or the heaviness of gravity called reality. In 2022, new lessons come as they do every year. But Saturn is still in Aquarius, so we know it’s about friendships, brotherly love, socializing en masse or not. There will be more of a desire to be on the go and to move ahead. In 2022, do not push others to the brink of no return, but be compassionate.
