The Mutable Earth Sun Sign Virgo

Virgo is a mutable Earth sign and a barren feminine sign.  Virgo is also one of the human signs since it's zodiac symbol is the Virgin holding a shaft of wheat indicating a good harvest.  The mutable energy of Virgo makes them flexible, not tied down to fixed times or events.  Virgos are very adaptable and understand things change. The ruler of Virgo is Mercury until their true ruler gets discovered.   Most astrologers argue if Vulcan is the true ruler of Virgo or not.  The sign of Virgo is concerned with matters related to health, like wellness, sickness, cereals (the wheat shaft) employment, employees, servants, servitude, clothing, and pets.  They enjoy working with their hands and figuring things out.  What they don't know, they will learn.

Virgos can figure things out and enjoy doing so.  They like to keep themselves busy and are known to be fussy, perfectionists,  and neat unless their Suns are afflicted. They can go in the complete opposite direction and can be messy, hypochondriacs, who don't mind indulging in the seedier sides of love and romance.  But this is rare. 

Most Virgo Suns signs like to keep themselves busy and are hard workers.  Many go into the health care professions or wellness profession and tend towards healthy vegetarian diets.  This Sun sign is known for their humbleness and doesn't like others to make a fuss over them.  In matters of love and romance, they go to extremes.  They like all that's pristine, dressed in white virginal love or the bad boys and girls of the zodiac.  Both they'll put on a high pedestal to worship and adore thinking they are Gods, Goddesses, and larger than life. That's until the Fall from grace, and Virgo becomes disillusioned and hurt. 

The part of the body ruled by Virgo is the abdomen or stomach area.  Another reason they should be very cautious with their diet and health and eat only healthy foods, nothing artificial.  Some have eating disorders. 

The downside of Virgo is that they tend to worry a lot.  This earthy sign is concerned with material abundance, security.  Like Gemini, the other Mercury-ruled Sun sign, they have a way with words, and many have a talent at mimicking or impersonating others.©
